Brooklyn Beckham Says He Will Not Reconcile With His Family

Brooklyn Peltz Beckham has publicly confirmed he does not want to reconcile with his family, breaking his silence on a long-rumored rift with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.

In an Instagram statement, the 26-year-old accused his parents and their team of repeatedly briefing the press and attempting to damage his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham. He said he had stayed silent for years but felt compelled to speak after what he described as “countless lies” placed in the media to protect a public image.

Brooklyn claimed his parents tried to control narratives about his life, pressured him to sign away rights to his name before his wedding, and attempted to interfere with his marriage. He alleged that the pressure intensified after he refused to sign the deal, saying his decision affected a “payday” and permanently changed how he was treated.

He also accused his mother of canceling plans to design Nicola’s wedding dress at the last minute, forcing her to find another option urgently. Brooklyn further claimed his mother called him “evil” during wedding planning over seating arrangements that included their grandmothers.

Among the most serious allegations, Brooklyn said his mother “hijacked” his first dance at the wedding, describing the moment as humiliating. He also said Nicola has been repeatedly disrespected by his family and was not invited to David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebration.

Brooklyn stated that his parents prioritize branding, endorsements, and public image over private family relationships, arguing that affection is measured by social media appearances and publicity. He rejected claims that his wife controls him, saying instead that he had been controlled by his parents for most of his life.

He said stepping away from his family has eased long-standing anxiety and brought him peace, adding that he and Nicola want a private life away from media manipulation.

David and Victoria Beckham have been contacted for comment but had not responded at the time of publication.
