What started as a long-running celebrity feud has now exploded into something far darker.
Shaniqua Tompkins, the former girlfriend of rap mogul 50 Cent, is claiming that a controversial 2007 agreement—one that allegedly handed over total control of her life story—was signed under fear, intimidation, and extreme duress. According to a newly surfaced affidavit obtained by Complex, Tompkins says she didn’t agree to the deal freely. She says she felt she had no choice.
The affidavit describes a tense encounter in a Las Vegas hotel room shortly after the couple’s very public breakup. Tompkins alleges that 50 Cent’s late manager, Chris Lighty, confronted her alongside a man she believed was security. When she initially refused to sign the contract, she claims the tone shifted—from persuasion to threats—warning of “severe consequences” if she didn’t comply.
Her account is chilling.
“Fearing for my life and for my children’s lives, I signed the agreement under extreme duress,” Tompkins wrote. She alleges Lighty made it clear that 50 Cent would use his wealth, influence, and public platform to destroy her financially and personally if she refused.
Even more disturbing, Tompkins claims she was never allowed to read the full agreement. She says she was shown only the signature page, leaving her unaware of the contract’s true scope for years. At the time, she says she was a stay-at-home mother, financially dependent on 50 Cent, and had allegedly been forced to abandon her own house-flipping business earlier in their relationship.
The dispute resurfaced last year when G-Unit Books sued Tompkins for more than $1 million, accusing her of violating the agreement by posting Instagram videos about their past. 50 Cent’s legal team argues the contract was a legitimate business decision meant to protect future biographical projects.
Now, Tompkins is asking the court to throw the agreement out entirely, arguing it was never valid to begin with.
If her claims hold weight, this won’t just be another celebrity legal spat—it could become a high-stakes courtroom reckoning over power, control, and what happens when fame meets fear behind closed doors.
