Marjorie Taylor Greene Blasts MAGA, Calls Trump’s Slogan a “Lie”

Marjorie Taylor Greene calls Trump’s MAGA slogan a “lie,” accusing his second term of prioritizing wealthy donors, foreign interests, and corporate agendas over everyday Americans.

Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) has delivered a stinging critique of President Donald Trump, calling his Make America Great Again (MAGA) slogan “a lie” and alleging his second term has favored wealthy donors over ordinary Americans.

In a Wednesday interview with radio personality Kim Iversen, Greene said, “I think people are realizing it was all a lie. It was a big lie for the people. What MAGA is really serving in this administration, who they’re serving, is their big donors.”

She elaborated that these benefactors receive special favors, government contracts, and pardons, while the public sees little benefit from MAGA policies. Greene cited contributions toward Trump’s White House ballroom and the 250th anniversary of America’s founding as examples of how private donations from wealthy supporters are prioritized.

Greene, who recently resigned from Congress amid growing disagreements with the GOP and MAGA leadership, also criticized the administration’s foreign policy focus, particularly regarding Israel and Gaza. She alleged that conflicts overseas have been exploited for financial gain, saying:

“It’s the foreign countries. They are running the show here. It’s the major big corporations and what is best for the world. That’s really what MAGA is… hundreds of thousands of [innocent people in Gaza] completely murdered so that they can build some new real estate development. Money can pour in and everybody can get rich there.”

She framed the MAGA movement as misaligned with American interests, stating it isn’t truly “about America or the American people” but rather about advancing corporate agendas and foreign influence.

Greene compared the situation to a Scooby-Doo scenario, where the public is unaware of the real forces behind political actions until the mask is pulled off, exposing those benefiting behind the scenes.

Her remarks mark one of the most public and severe rebukes of Trump from a former ally, highlighting ongoing fractures within the GOP and the MAGA movement.
