In a surprising move, First Lady Melania Trump spoke warmly about President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden during a Fox News appearance Tuesday. Promoting her upcoming film Melania, Melania described the Bidens as “very nice” and recalled a “cordial relationship” during the inauguration events, including Air Force One rides and the drive to the Capitol.
Her comments sharply contrast with her husband Donald Trump’s long-running attacks on Biden, which have included calling him “vicious,” “crooked,” and even suggesting he should be jailed.
Melania’s film, directed by Brett Ratner, chronicles the 20 days leading up to her husband’s inauguration. Despite heavy promotion, early ticket sales indicate a slow start for the opening night.
