Meta has blocked links to ICE List, a site identifying federal immigration officials, just days after the Jan. 24 killing of VA nurse Alex Pretti by federal agents in Minneapolis. Users attempting to post the site on Facebook or Threads receive a message claiming the links “go against our Community Standards.”
ICE List gained attention after the Daily Beast revealed it had a roster of roughly 4,500 ICE and Border Patrol employees, allegedly leaked by a DHS whistleblower upset over the death of Renee Nicole Good.
Founder Dominick Skinner believes Meta’s censorship is politically motivated, pointing to CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s ties to Trump and alleging selective enforcement. Meta, however, claims its policy blocks content sharing private or personally identifiable information. Skinner counters that ICE List does not post private data and notes that other people-search websites can still be shared without issue.
The move adds another layer to the controversy surrounding federal immigration enforcement and public accountability online.
