Hip-hop star Nicki Minaj doubled down on her support for President Trump during a speech at the Trump Accounts Summit, calling him “bullied” and “smeared.”
Hip-hop superstar Nicki Minaj reaffirmed her support for President Donald Trump on Wednesday at a Washington, D.C. event for the “Trump Accounts Summit.”
During a brief speech, Minaj described Trump as being “bullied” and “smeared,” and called herself “probably the president’s No. 1 fan.” She told the audience that criticism only motivates her further to back the president.
“Well, I don’t know what to say,” Minaj began after greeting Trump, “but I will say that I am probably the president’s no. 1 fan. And that’s not going to change… The hate with what people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more.”
She exited shortly afterward, whispering to someone offstage whether she should leave. Trump later praised her remarks, joking about her wealth and noting the $16 billion contributed to Trump Accounts — a program under recent federal legislation that deposits $1,000 into investment accounts for children born between 2025 and 2028. Minaj has pledged between $150,000 and $300,000 to fund her fans’ accounts, though the mechanics of the contributions have not been clarified.

Minaj had promoted the event on social media days in advance, calling Trump Accounts “the true meaning of paying it forward,” emphasizing early financial literacy and support for children.
Her outspoken support for Trump has sparked division among her fan base, known as the “Barbz,” with many expressing surprise at her alignment with conservative politics.
