Ray J Granted Full Access to Children Following Gun Incident

Ray J can now see his children without restrictions after a judge amended a protective order stemming from a November 2025 incident.

The singer, 45, was pictured with estranged wife Princess Love outside the San Fernando, Los Angeles courthouse on Friday. The order now allows him unlimited contact with Love and their two children, Melody, 7, and Epik, 6.

“The children have been asking about him, they are worried about his health issues,” Ray J’s mother, Sonja Norwood, told the court. “I would like them to see their father. They would not be in any danger.”

Ray J was arrested in November for allegedly brandishing a gun during a Thanksgiving livestream while his family was present. He faced six misdemeanor charges, including child endangerment and brandishing a firearm, and was released on $50,000 bail.

Recently, Ray J revealed he had a “severe” bout of pneumonia and claimed his heart was functioning at just 25%, predicting he may not live past 2027. Despite these health concerns, the court ruled in favor of reinstating his parental access.

Princess Love, who filed for divorce from Ray J for the fourth time in February 2024, accompanied him to the hearing.
