NFL quarterback Russell Wilson denies any involvement with Jeffrey Epstein following the DOJ release of 3 million files, clarifying he never met Epstein or purchased his Gulfstream jet.
NFL quarterback Russell Wilson addressed online reports linking him to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein after his name appeared in a DOJ-released 2019 email. The exchange suggested Wilson had shown interest in Epstein’s Gulfstream G-IV jet.
Wilson posted on X on Sunday, Feb. 1, saying, “NOPE!!! ABSOLUTELY NOT! Not TODAY satan!” He added that he had never bought the plane, met Epstein, or had any dealings with him. Wilson explained that a “random plane broker” had approached him, and he was unaware of Epstein’s involvement.
The 2019 email from pilot Larry Visosk indicated that Wilson wanted to secure the plane before signing his new contract with the Seattle Seahawks. The email also referenced Wilson taking photos and videos during a test flight with his wife, singer Ciara, and noted concerns that purchasing the plane could affect contract negotiations.
Wilson isn’t the only NFL figure mentioned in the new batch of DOJ files. Emails also include exchanges between Epstein and Steve Tisch, co-owner of Wilson’s current team, the New York Giants. In 2013, Tisch received updates from Epstein regarding the scouting of adult women. Tisch later replied, “Is she fun?”
Following the release, the Giants issued a statement on Tisch’s behalf, emphasizing that the discussions only involved adult women and topics like movies, philanthropy, and investments. Tisch clarified he never accepted Epstein’s invitations or visited his island, describing Epstein as “a terrible person” whose association he deeply regrets.
The newly released DOJ documents are part of a trove of over 3 million files connected to Epstein’s criminal investigations, offering new insight into his interactions with public figures.
