Minister of Energy and Enterprise Ebba Busch (KD) has spoken out after discovering that AI on Elon Musk’s platform X had manipulated images of her, generating sexualized content without her consent.
“It’s not a bad picture, in fact, it’s a pretty good picture,” Busch said in a video post. “The problem is that I was involuntarily undressed by Elon Musk’s Grok on X. I want to be clear: it is me, as a woman, who decides when, where, and to whom I show myself in a bikini.”
The AI tool, Grok, has recently faced criticism after generating images with sexual content, including one depicting Busch in a bikini. The incident has sparked broader debate in Sweden about the ethics of AI and digital consent.
Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) weighed in, calling the manipulation “a kind of sexualized violence.”
Busch urged the public to use AI responsibly: “How about we think before we use AI in this way, and be mindful of what we share online? Our world needs more good men and women — and fewer idiots.”
