A harrowing inquest at Cheshire Coroner’s Court on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, has detailed the final moments of Lucy Harrison, a 23-year-old fashion buyer from Warrington who was shot dead by her father in Texas last year.
The hearing revealed that Harrison, who was “categorically anti-gun,” was killed on January 10, 2025, just hours after a “big argument” with her father, Kris Harrison, regarding Donald Trump.
The Fatal Argument
Lucy’s boyfriend, Sam Littler, testified that the morning of the shooting was marked by a heated political debate. At the time, Donald Trump was preparing for his second inauguration.
- The Dispute: Lucy reportedly challenged her father’s support for Trump, specifically regarding allegations of sexual assault.

“Fifteen Seconds” in the Bedroom
Shortly before they were to leave for the airport at 3:00 p.m., Kris Harrison reportedly took Lucy by the hand and led her into his ground-floor bedroom.
- The Shooting: Littler testified that within 15 seconds, a loud bang echoed from the room. He initially thought it was a “prank” until he heard Kris Harrison “screaming nonsense.”

Alcoholism and “Lies” to Police
The inquest highlighted Kris Harrison’s history of “volatility” and severe alcohol addiction.
- Medical History: The court heard Harrison suffered an alcoholic seizure in 2023 that left him in an induced coma. Despite this, he reportedly “lied” to Texas police about his drinking habits following the shooting.
- The Gun Cabinet: Although Harrison kept a firearm in a cabinet, witnesses described his handling of it as “unpredictable,” including an incident where he reportedly walked around “like James Bond” to investigate a raccoon.
Legal Impasse: No Prosecution
Despite the evidence presented at the inquest, a Collin County Grand Jury in Texas previously issued a “no-bill” in the case, meaning no criminal charges will be brought against Kris Harrison.
