Former President Donald Trump attacks Rep. Thomas Massie on Truth Social, blaming his new wife for his political shift and promoting Ed Gallrein as a better GOP candidate.
President Donald Trump launched a fierce attack on Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) on Monday, claiming that Massie’s recent marriage has turned him into a “Liberal.” On Truth Social, Trump wrote that Massie’s new wife is a “Radical Left ‘flamethrower’” and warned that Massie has become an “absolutely terrible and unreliable Republican — Perhaps a RINO, or maybe even worse.”
Trump also praised Ed Gallrein, a farmer and war hero running against Massie, calling him a “HIGH QUALITY individual” who would be a better representative for the GOP.
The president’s criticism comes amid Massie’s high-profile stances, including his push to release the Epstein Files and his refusal to support the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill”, citing concerns about the national debt. Trump previously targeted Massie for remarrying after the death of his first wife.
Massie responded last November, telling CNN: “It’s more to his detriment than mine that he put something like that out… but we laughed it off. It’s beyond the pale.”
