Wisconsin Teen Accused of Killing Parents Expected to Plead Guilty

A Wisconsin teenager accused of killing his mother and stepfather — and allegedly plotting to overthrow the U.S. government — is expected to plead guilty, according to court records.

Eighteen-year-old Nikita Casap is set to plead guilty to two counts of intentional homicide at a Jan. 8 hearing, online records show. Prosecutors said the plea agreement calls for the remaining charges — including theft and hiding a corpse — to be dismissed.

Casap was charged in connection with the deaths of 35-year-old Tatiana Casap and 51-year-old Donald Mayer, who were found inside their Waukesha home in March 2025. Investigators believe the killings occurred weeks earlier, around Feb. 11.

Police discovered the bodies during a welfare check after Casap stopped attending school. According to a criminal complaint, officers noticed an odor of decay when they entered the home, and both victims were found covered with blankets.

Authorities said Casap fled Wisconsin in the family car and was arrested in Kansas on Feb. 28. While traveling, he allegedly used Mayer’s phone to send messages pretending to be his stepfather, but relatives said the texts seemed out of character.

Investigators later uncovered writings and online communications suggesting Casap had drafted a manifesto titled “Accelerate the Collapse,” in which he discussed violent political goals and extremist ideology. Prosecutors alleged he hoped to finance the plan using money obtained after the killings.

Casap initially faced nine charges, including homicide, theft, hiding a corpse, identity misappropriation, and witness intimidation. If Judge Ralph Ramirez accepts the plea deal, only the two homicide convictions would stand — a sentence that could carry life in prison without the possibility of extended supervision.
